Cookie Policy
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners about how their site is being used.
Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device. They are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued them.
How We Use Cookies
Kerygo uses cookies to:
- Ensure the Platform functions correctly and securely;
- Protect forms from CSRF attacks using WordPress nonces (security tokens);
- Remember your search filters and preferences between visits;
- Understand how visitors interact with the directory — which pages, filters, and listings are most used;
- Measure and improve Platform performance and user experience;
- Serve optimised, cached pages faster via our hosting infrastructure.
We do not use cookies to serve advertisements, track you across unrelated third-party websites, or build personal advertising profiles.
Types of Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies on kerygo.com:
First-Party System Cookies
The following cookies are set directly by kerygo.com (first-party). Although the underlying software — WordPress and LiteSpeed Cache — is developed by third parties, the cookies themselves are issued by our own domain and remain under our control.
| Software | Cookie Purpose | Duration | Cookie Domain |
|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress Core | Session management, CSRF nonce tokens for form security, admin authentication | Session | kerygo.com |
| LiteSpeed Cache | Server-side performance caching — identifies cached vs non-cached page requests to serve pages faster | Session | kerygo.com |
Third-Party Cookies and Services
The following services are operated by external companies and may set their own cookies or collect data when you visit kerygo.com. These are subject to each provider’s own privacy policy.
Cookies set by third parties
| Service | Purpose | Duration | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Visitor analytics — pages viewed, session duration, traffic sources, directory filter usage | Up to 13 months | View Policy |
Third-party services that do not set cookies
The following external services are loaded on kerygo.com but do not set tracking cookies. They may collect your IP address as part of serving their content — this is noted for full transparency:
| Service | What It Does | Data Collected | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Loads Syne and DM Sans typefaces from Google’s servers for consistent typography across devices | IP address (to serve font files). No tracking cookies set. | View Policy |
Your Consent
When you first visit kerygo.com, a cookie consent banner allows you to:
- Accept all cookies — including analytics and preference cookies;
- Reject non-essential cookies — only essential first-party cookies will be active;
- Manage preferences — choose exactly which categories to allow.
Analytics and preference cookies are only activated after you provide explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time — as easily as you gave it — by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer of any page on kerygo.com.
Managing Your Cookies
You have full control over your cookie preferences:
- Cookie settings link: Available in the footer of every page on kerygo.com. Click it at any time to update your preferences — no account required.
- Browser settings: Block, delete, or restrict cookies through your browser. See Section 8 for direct links per browser.
- Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Analytics from collecting your data across all sites.
- Clear existing cookies: Delete all cookies already stored on your device by clearing your browser history and cookies in your browser settings.

Impact of Disabling Cookies
Disabling non-essential cookies will not prevent you from browsing the directory, viewing manufacturer profiles, or submitting the contact form. However:
- Disabling essential cookies — may cause security nonces, form protection, and session-dependent features to stop working correctly. We strongly recommend keeping these enabled.
- Disabling preference cookies — your search filters and settings will not be remembered between visits. You may need to reapply filters each session.
- Disabling analytics cookies — we will not be able to measure Platform performance or understand directory usage patterns. This has no impact on your access to any content.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, technology we deploy, or applicable legal requirements. Updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
Where changes are material — for example, introducing a new cookie category or a new third-party service — we will notify registered users via email and present a fresh consent banner on your next visit to kerygo.com.
